This is the first time that Volleyball Association of Singapore (VAS) had organised a fundraising Golf Tournament. The purpose of this event is to raise funds to support the Volleyball Association of Singapore in organising more volleyball-related events and expand the volleyball arena in Singapore.

It was held on 24th July 2007 at Laguna National Golf & Country Club, Classic Course with Guest-of-Honour, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan (Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports, and Second Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts). In his speech, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan had encouraged VAS to continue to work hard in setting goals and cultivating a supportive ecosystem of players, members, coaches, referees, fans, partners and sponsors in Singapore. 

Besides the honourable presence of our minister, Volleyball Association is very honoured to receive support from 33 donors from different industries to make this event a joyous and successful one. Special thanks to Ngee Ann Development Pte Ltd, Beng Hui Marine Electrical Pte Ltd, Lee Foundation Singapore, UniqueTech Pte Ltd, Kim Hoo Guan Bak Kuah Shop, Singapore Totalisation Board and all other sponsers for their generous donations.
