The SWATCH-FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour is an annual tour event sanctioned by the FIVB (Federation International de Volleyball) that has the best players in the world vying for top prize money as well as world ranking points. The 2007 season saw a total of 18 stops and the world tour events would also be the qualifying tournaments for Olympics 2008. This is the first time Singapore hosted and witnessed the biggest-ever beach lifestyle event. It attracted both the best athletes of the world received strong support from the international media.
